The Souhegan Pirates have announced that the player of the week for the week of July 4 is Chris Chininis. Chris Chininis has played left field and second base for the Pirates to add to the Souhegan Pirates strong defensive team. At the plate, Chris batted .500 (6 for 12) in the team's four games. Chris scored five runs and stole seven bases as Chris bats lead off for the Pirates. Chris's individual speed has added to the Pirates offensive attack and in the field to strengthen the team defense as the team's over-all season record is eleven wins and six losses and third place in the Southern League regular season. |

The
Souhegan Pirates have announced that the player of the
week for the week of June 28 is Paul Becotte. Paul
Becotte has added depth to the Souhegan Pirates, playing
his main position catcher, plus, first base, outfield
positions and pitcher. At the plate, Paul batted
.514 (5 for 7) in the team's two games. Paul drove in a
pair of runs as he has batted in the middle of the
Pirates batting order. Paul's leadership has been an
instrumental ingredient to the success of this Summer's
team with a season record of seven wins and five losses
and a top four spot in the Southern League. |

The Souhegan Pirates have announced that the player of the week for the week of June 21 is Chris Almeida. Chris Almeida, the team's centerfielder, batted .422 (7 for 22) in the team's five games. Chris also scored 4 runs and had 5 rbi from the second slot in the batting order. Chris also came in and pitched three excellent innings in relief. Chris has helped lead the team to a season record of seven wins and three losses in the Southern League. |

The Souhegan Pirates have announced that the player of the week for the week of June 14 is D J Petropulos. D J Petropulos played outstanding behind the plate throwing out a running in each catch he catch and made a number of catches of foul balls. At the plate, D J batted four for eight,
three doubles and three rbi. His leadership with the Pirates pitching staff helped lead the team to a three win and no losses week. |

The Souhegan Pirates have announced that the player of the week for the week of June 7 is Matt Schagrin. Matt Schagrin opened the season on the mound for the Pirates and came away with the complete game victory. Matt scattered five hits, struck out six and allowed only ONE earned run. At the plate Matt had a ground rule double to left field in the first inning and he blasted a ball over the left field fence to pace the Pirates offense. |

The Souhegan Pirates have announced that Kyle Beaulieu is the player selected as the Pirate of the Week. During the past week, Kyle batted .333 (4 for 12) and on base average of .592 (7 for 12), scored 4 runs and drove in four runs. In addition to being the designated hitter, Kyle also was add strength to the Pirates defense will his solid play behind the plate. |

player selected as the Pirate of the Week. During the
past week, Carson batted .555 (5 for 9) and on base
average of .714 (10 for 14). scored 3 runs and stole 5
bases. His play in the Pirates' outfield was
outstanding. |

The Souhegan Pirates have announced that Nick Hession is the player selected as the Pirate of the Week. During the past week, Nick batted .500 (5 for 10) with four rbi.
His over all play at shortstop led the team defense to a pair of victories. On the mound, Nick picked up a save in the team's 3-1 victory against the Hollis Dodgers, pitching three innings and allowed no earned runs. |

The Souhegan Pirates have announced that Matt Schagrin is the player selected as the Pirate of the Week. During the past week, Matt was one for three at the plate, scored two runs and hit a DEEP home run to left field. On the mound, Matt took a one hitter into the seventh inning, allowed one earned run and struck out nine batters. In his one inning in right field, Matt made an exceptional diving catch to end the Monadnock rally. |

The Souhegan Pirates have announced that Matt Reed is the first player selected as the Pirate of the Week. During the past week, Matt batted .600 and on base average of .714 with 4 runs scored and five stolen bases. Matt has been a solid addition to the young defensive team as he has been able to play first base, shortstop, third base and pitch without committing an error. Matt's leadership will be an important cog in the development of the young Pirate squad. |

Eric Bullock has been selected as the Souhegan Indians Player of the Week. The Indians played six games during the week. Eric's play at second base was instrumental in the Indians playing solid defense throughout the week, which was instrumental in the excellent support to the team's pitching staff. Eric bats in the second spot in the batting order and was a table setter for the over all offense combining base hits, base on balls, both scoring runs and driving in runs and moving runners along. |

of the week. In three Indians games during the week,
Paul batted .625 (5 for 8), walked twice, had 3 rbi and
scored 4 runs. His defensive play at first base, third
base and catching was instrumental in the Indians three
game win streak. |

The first baseman / catcher played flawless in the field. At the plate, DJ
batted .571 (8 for 14) and drove in five runs during the four game week. |

Kevin Goldsmith has been selected as the Souhegan Indians Baseball Player of the Week. Kevin was the starting pitcher in the Indians upset victory over the highly ranked Nashua Chiefs. In addition to pitching, he has been a steady influence of the team defense with a strong glove at first base. On offense, his
consistent approach to reach base on each at bat has been excellent. Once on base, he is one of the leagues best stolen base players - with six stolen bases in three games. |

Matt did an excellent job behind the plate, helping to guide the young Souhegan Indians pitching staff. He has also worked to improve his skill level which can be seen with his development of his throwing behind the
